Rocky Mountain High.

Just hanging out on the deck of the condo this morning enjoying the view before heading off to a shoot here in Vail, CO. I haven't skied in years but still enjoy the mountain air and views especially like this trip that falls the week after ski season so all the tourists are gone and it's mostly just locals and the last of the seasonal workers before they head off to their "summer jobs". Which from personal experience usually seems to be jobs in summer tourist locations like Hawaii!! Ah, to be young and footloose... -S

Up, Up and Away!

I went to Kitty Hawk, NC to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first powered human flight and got a look at the next evolution along that line! There on display and doing a flight demo was the V22 Osprey Tilt Rotor aircraft. It can take off and land like a helicoptor and then the "Nacelles" (aviation speak) rotate forward and it flys like and airplane. VERY COOL!

In Honor of those who have fallen...

Decided to take some time today and explore Arlington National Cemetery. No matter your politics it is an interesting and inspiring place. It can also make for an interesting "treasure hunt" in search of the burial places of historical figures. I'm pictured here in the Amphitheater catching a little shade before heading back out into the spring sunshine. -S

That's a Wrap to another JASON adventure...

It's the end of the 14th JASON Project and we (Crew and Argos) have had an excellent time here on Anacapa Island.
So it is with some regret I wish Megan a fond fairwell and good luck as we both head off to new adventures!!
