Ah, Paris...  I do love this city, lots to do, see, eat & DRINK!  And I love the architecture too.  Here I am in the plaza in front of The Grande Arche de la Fraternite in the la Defence district. Such a modern extreme it really stands out against the older districts of Paris down below! Cheers, -S

Clubing in London

It's important when traveling of course to hang with "the right kind" of people.  That is why this shot of my new best friend Paul is such fun.  I had hardly been in London a couple of days when Paul invited me to have dinner with him at his "Gentleman's Club".  Now don't you poor Americans get the "wrong" idea from that title, I know how it's used in the US and let me just say "it ain't that kind of place!"  This club is for members only and caters to a specific clientele!  The Garrick founded in 1831 is for supporters of the arts!  So it is "sort of" classy, well it is for "us show folk" after all!!!  Cheers, -S

Jazz Man Cometh...

I had the pleasure this evening of meeting rising jazz star Jeremy Siskind at the Yamaha Young Musician's Concert.  A night of impressive music by scarily young composers!!  -S

The Right Stuff

I was at an excellent event tonight at the Air and Space Museum in DC.  It was a party to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "STS-1".  The first manned shuttle flight.  Many aviation luminaries were in attendance including this group of the original Boeing Astronauts including Richard Covey.  -S

Biggest Little City in the west...

Well at least that what they call it in the advertising!  Just out for the evening walking the main drag here in Reno!  I have to admit I'm not much of a gambler.  You know handling cards and chips isn't an easy thing with "paws"! -S

I had a great time with all the scientists that shared they're knowledge and enthusiasm including Kobie Boykins of the JPL.

The End of a good run...

Here we are for an on-set photo of the on camera talent for (plus the invaluable Kurt St. Amant the floor director) for the last broadcast of the JASON Project for the foreseeable future.  The program is being "retooled" after this and we'll just have to wait and see what form NatGeo brings it back in.  It's definitely been a great adventure, even though I've only been a part of the crew since the shoots up in Seward at the Sea Life Center (Miss you Sugar!)...  -S

The Final Frontier

I got a great tour of the "Clean Room" at the NASA facility in Greenbelt, Maryland.  This is where they do final assembly for things like repairs for the Hubble Telescope and the STEREO (Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) Spacecraft.  Very cool to see this place up close.  Of course since this is they're last stop before heading out into space, it's important they leave without "a hair out of place" so to speak...  -S

She's REALLY out there man...

Here I am "chatting space" on the JASON broadcast set with Dr. Pam Clark from the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Dr. B!

One last shot with Dr. Bob Ballard who as far as JASON is concerned really started it all!!  But there is lots of exploring left to do both thru Immersion Presents as well as shepherding the NOAA Vessel Okeanos Explorer on it's mission to explore the unseen parts of the oceans.  -S
