I have to say it was my pleasure and honor to spend the afternoon with George White, Architect of the US Capital from 1971 thru 1995. We had a great time and he shared several stories about his work. I especially liked the one about his afternoon with Queen Elizabeth and the Magna Carta. Oh, and thanks for the idea of moving the Presidential Inaugurations from the East side to the West Front of the Capital, a much better view! Also, thanks George for your patience with the chain saws (a story for another time..). -S
